FAQ

How do I make an Appointment?

Our office phone number is (843) 742-7922. During operating hours, one of our staff members will schedule a convenient time for an appointment or consult. If after hours, please leave a message and staff will contact you by next business day to schedule. You can also visit our website at advancedmedicalsolutions.org and request an appointment online.

How long will it take me to get an appointment?

For urgent or acute conditions, we will see you within 1-2 days. For chronic or non-urgent conditions, we can typically get an appointment scheduled within 1 week.

What should I bring to my appointment?

We ask that you bring your driver’s license or a photo ID along with your insurance card, if applicable. If you have any recent imaging or reports that are related to the reason you are seeking care, please bring them as well. Many patients find that wearing comfortable clothes and shoes is preferable during examination and allows the providers to complete a comprehensive assessment. Also, we request that you bring your spouse, significant other, or anyone who helps you make decisions.

Am I a good candidate for Regenerative Medicine?

We specialize in the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, such as joint degeneration, tendon or ligament injuries, chronic pain conditions, and so much more! Regenerative Medicine has been used in a wide variety of conditions and while each person is unique, most people are candidates! To determine if Regenerative Medicine is right for you, please make an appointment. At your consult we will conduct a medical history review, physical exam, and perform or review x-rays or other studies.

How much does a consultation cost?

Consultations are $100.00. Cost of X Ray and examinations will depend on insurance coverage and how many areas we are assessing.

How much does Regenerative Medicine cost?

The cost of treatment with Regenerative Medicine varies based on the size and number of areas being injected as well as the extent of damage to the area. Typically, the cost is around $6,000 for one area to $15,000 for multiple areas. This cost includes follow-ups and boosters as well as rehab therapy and chiropractic adjustments (if applicable).

Where does Regenerative Medicine come from?

The team at Advanced Medical Solutions uses mesenchymal stem cells, amnio products, exosomes and platelet rich plasma. The purpose of these products is to support the repair of soft tissue by providing natural growth factors and other extra-cellular components to an injured area. This is to promote healing, reduce inflammation and healing time, improve stability and increase range of motion, therefore improving a person’s quality of life. The mesenchymal stem cells are obtained from an FDA regulated laboratory who processes the Wharton’s Jelly from a live and healthy C-section birthed infant’s umbilical cord.

What areas can be injected with Regenerative Medicine?

We specialize in the rehabilitation of many musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis, strains, sprains, chronic pain, and many more. We can inject most joint spaces, muscle groups, and tendon sheaths with our regenerative medicine products.

How long until I feel the results?

Every patient is different therefore recovery time can vary from person to person depending on the extent of the damage to the area. Many patients begin to feel relief within the first few days to weeks after their initial treatment.

How long is my recovery time?

We recommend that you refrain from any high impact or strenuous activities for 4 weeks after your initial treatment, however you can resume your normal daily activities immediately.

What are the possible side effects of Regenerative Medicine Therapy?

As with any procedure there are risks, but they are extremely rare. These can include infection, bleeding, nerve injury, and failure of the procedure to be successful.

How many treatments do I need?

Most of our patients only require one initial treatment, however there are some instances where a person may require a booster or second injection. We have found that when patients follow the program as suggested with Rehab and Chiropractic Care, they tend to have better and faster results.

 Will Insurance cover my procedure?

Many of the services that we offer at Advanced Medical Solutions are covered with insurance but unfortunately at this time insurance does not cover regenerative medicine for musculoskeletal conditions. We do however have financing options available.
